Welcome to Eliot Bank Primary School

Eliot Bank School is a community primary school, with nursery, situated in Sydenham SE26. It is set in very attractive grounds, with steps leading to the main buildings. The numerous grass and tarmac-covered play areas, the pond and wild life area, and the numerous trees and shrubs, all help to create a calm learning-environment.

The staff, governors and parents of Eliot Bank work very hard to achieve the highest possible standards both in educational attainment and welfare of the children at the school. We have created a caring and friendly environment in which the pupils feel happy and secure, and in which they can learn effectively.

The school's last OFSTED (January 2007) recognized the school as outstanding overall and in all categories: achievement and standards, personal development and well being, leadership and management, quality of provision teaching and learning, curriculum, care guidance and support. Pupils are right to be proud of their school. The views of parents and pupils are highly valued.

The school has gained 'Healthy Schools', 'Arts Mark Gold', and 'Investors in People' awards.
